Allen Furr Named
Assistant Vice President

- Bill Lawhon, President and CEO of Bank of Stanly,
is pleased to announce that Allen Furr has been named Assistant
Vice President at the April meeting of the Board of Directors.

focus will continue to be in the area of business development,
commercial and consumer lending and he looks forward to

Allen is a native of Albemarle,
and a graduate of Albemarle High School. He received his
Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Management from North
Carolina State University in 2001, and is currently attending
the North Carolina School of Banking in Chapel Hill. He began
his financial services career in the mortgage area with Bank
of Stanly immediately following graduation, before moving
into the retail banking area in 2004.
Allen and his wife, Jenny,
make their home in the New London area. Allen is an active
member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church and in the community
as a United Way Board member and with the American Cancer
Society’s
Relay for Life as Bank of Stanly’s Team Co-Captain.
