Lori Misenheimer is Named Executive Vice President

Monday, April 3rd 2006 - Albemarle, NC - Lorelei V. Misenheimer has been named Executive Vice President of Strategic Investment Advisors and has successfully obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification. She is now authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Borad of Standards (CFP Board) to use the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements.

Mrs. Misenheimer has worked with Strategic Investment Advisors and Uwharrie Capital Corp since January 1986 and has extensive experience in the implementation and management of employee benefit plans and retirement planning for individuals and small businesses within this region. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and holds the Series 7 and 66 registrations with the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD) and the North Carolina Life, Accident & Health Insurance License.

In Preparation for the exam, Mrs. Misenheimer completed the coursework requirements for the Financial Planner Program at Queens University Charlotte.

These marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and exams and passed the 10-hour CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: Financial Planning Process, Risk Management, Investments, Tax Planning and Management, Retirement and Employee Benefits and Estate Planning. CFP® certificants also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the CFP Board Code of Ethics, Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

Mrs. Misenheimer is a graduate of Catawba College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Business Management. She is very active in her church as a youth leader, a Sunday School teacher and in the community as a Central Partner Volunteer at Central Elementary School. She and her husband, Gary, have three children, Raeanna, Tyler and Loriel.
