Bank of Stanly Receives SBA Lending Award

Wednesday, March 9th 2005 - Charlotte, NC - Bank of Stanly was recognized, at the 2004 Small Business Administration (SBA) Lenders Conference, as a Platinum Lender. The SBA noted the banks success in achieving a 100% increase in its SBA loan volume year on year from 2003 to 2004. The award was presented to Mike Harwood, Senior Vice President and Bill Lawhon, Chief Executive Officer on behalf of Bank of Stanly.

Mr Harwood commented, "our association with the SBA has allowed us to extend credit to certain small businesses that we might not have ordinarily been able to assist. We have several businesses in Stanly County that would not be operating today if it weren't for the SBA and it's partnership with Bank of Stanly."
