Cabarrus Bank & Trust Installs New Sign in Mt. Pleasant
Thursday November 4th 2004 - Mt. Pleasant,
NC - Cabarrus
Bank & Trust installed a new sign, designed to fit
with the architecture and styling of the 150 year old Ludwig
house. The building was dedicated in June
2003 and underwent careful restoration and expansion
to accommodate the technologies and conveniences necessary
to operate a banking facility.
The Ludwig house is part of Mt. Pleasant's
heritage, built in the late 1840's the style and architecture
is typical of the era. The thick brick walls were built with
homemade bricks and laid in English bond. (The bricks were
made in a brickyard, originally located, directly behind
the house.) A hip-roof covers the house and its porch extends
almost the full width. Today, the house is home to Cabarrus
Bank & Trust's Mt. Pleasant Office. Many of it's original
characteristics remain.
