Cabarrus Bank & Trust Honors Teacher of the Year and Outstanding Business

Monday, May 4th 2004 - Concord, NC - Cabarrus Bank & Trust honored Cabarrus County’s Teacher of the Year Lenora Barron recently at the company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Ms. Barron teaches physical education at Weddington Hills Elementary School in Concord.

“Teachers have a special mission of helping mold and encourage our children to dream big and realize those dreams,” said Alex Rankin, Cabarrus Bank & Trust Company’s Board of Directors’ Chair, who recognized Ms. Barron. “Lenora Barron does this and more. Her peers say she is outstanding, innovative and creative, and that she brings out the best in her kids. It is my distinct honor to recognize Cabarrus County’s Teacher of the Year Lenora Barron, recognition she so deserves for the impact she is having on our children and our future.”

Cabarrus Bank & Trust also recognized Tesh-Troxler Landscape & Designs, Inc. of Concord as its 2004 Outstanding Business.

“Phil Tesh and Gray Troxler - who have known each other since they were four years old - started their firm in 1987 and have grown it into one of the area’s top commercial and residential landscaping businesses,” said Sanjay Mistry, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cabarrus Bank & Trust. “They are making a difference in the community by providing good jobs for 11 people, and by helping to create community wealth right here at home. It is our pleasure to recognize Tesh-Troxler Landscape & Designs, our 2004 Cabarrus County Outstanding Business.”

Cabarrus Bank & Trust presented each honoree a desk clock frame which featured an original piece of art depicting Ms. Barron’s area of teaching and Messrs. Tesh and Troxler’s line of business.
