Cabarrus Bank & Trust Welcomes Ken Yelton

Monday, March 1st - Concord, NC - Cabarrus Bank & Trust welcomes Ken Yelton as Executive Vice President and as Senior Executive of Retail and small Business Banking. He is located in the new 25 Palaside Drive office. Ken began his career in 1982 with First Citizens Bank & Trust Company, serving most recently as Senior vice President and Cabarrus County Market Executive. He also worked previously in the Greensboro, Winston Salem and Charlotte markets with First Citizens Bank.

Ken, a Concord native is a graduate of Concord High School. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Very active in community service, Ken currently serves on the United Way of Central Carolinas Cabarrus Board of Directors and the Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County advisory board. He also serves on Wingate University's Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Student Development Committee. Previously he has served and held leadership roles with Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce, Cabarrus 4-H Foundation Inc., Junior Achievement of Cabarrus County and the Cabarrus County Mediation Center Inc. He is a graduate of Leadership Cabarrus. Additionally he is an Eagle Scout.

He and his wife Tiffany, who is a registered nurse, live in Concord with their three children, Bradley, Jennifer and Heather. They attend First Baptist Church, in Concord, where he serves as Deacon and member of the Adult Choir.
