Jim Strayhorn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Anson Bank & Trust Retired
Wadesboro, NC - - Jim Strayhorn, PreFesident and Chief Executive Officer of Anson Bank & Trust, retired from the daily management of the Bank as of January 1, 2010. Strayhorn has been at the helm of Anson Bank for the past nine years and though retiring from his duties as President and CEO, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.
"I won't be participating in the daily operations of the Company, but will continue in my role as a director and remain committed to the very special purpose that Anson Bank has in serving our community," commented Strayhorn. "I leave the Bank in capable hands with an incredibly caring staff and with total confidence that our approach to community banking will continue to make a difference in Anson County."

Dana A. Maness has been named to replace Strayhorn as President of Anson Bank & Trust. Maness joined the Bank in August 2005 as Vice President and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily in areas of branch management, business development and consumer and commercial lending. While much of his career has been in Anson County, he has been extremely active in representing the bank in the community and as a leader in a multitude of civic organizations and charitable endeavors. Currently, he serves as chairman of the Anson County Partnership for Children, treasurer for the Anson Economic Development Corporation and is a board member of Anson County United Way.

Maness received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Wingate University in 1994 and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association's National Commercial Lending School and Graduate of Commercial Lending School in 2006 and 2004, respectively.
